Internship Program
Now accepting applicants for Fall 2012 Internships
America's Health Insurance Plans, a national trade association representing the health insurance industry, is seeking interns interested in enhancing their education and work experience. At AHIP, interns function within a supervised environment, and are given responsibilities that acquaint them with policy, research, and lobbying activities. Previous intern responsibilities at the Center for Policy and Research include conducting a survey on state external review programs, updating important studies and publications, and frequent visits to Capitol Hill for lobbying tours and briefings of interest.
Who Should Apply?
AHIP internships are appropriate for graduate students in fields related to health studies, economics, public policy, and related disciplines; recent graduates and undergraduates with strong research skills, experience and statistical and computer skills are also encouraged to apply.
Internships at AHIP are unpaid. It is preferred that students work full-time, but part-time applicants will also be considered. The Center will complete necessary requirements, such as evaluations or paperwork, for interns to receive academic credit for their work.
